A perfect getaway - Loved It!

SOURCE: TripAdvisor

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Tarrytown Estate. Can't begin to tell you how impressed we were! Definitely exceeded our expectations! What a beautiful property. Secluded, yet close enough to many area attractions. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. Very well maintained. Lots of amenities....can't possibly get bored! Mansions right on the property. We loved reading the "markers", which are placed outside each building, explaining the history. Such interesting information. Makes you want to go back in time! The entire staff is very efficient and friendly. You can tell they all take great pride in their work.

Joe Santore, the General Manager, takes time out of his busy schedule to personally greet his guests. He offers such a warm welcome. You can tell he truly cares about making you feel right at home! The "1964 Getaway Package" is a great deal. We actually booked it for both nights! The breakfast buffet served in the Biddle Mansion dining room is unbelievable....anything you would possibly want! And we loved being able to look out at the beautiful landscaping as we enjoyed our breakfast. Really loved the pub-like atmosphere in Cellar 49. We had dinner there both nights since this was part of the package. Food was excellent. The waiters were friendly and provided great service. Having booked the '64 package, we had no idea what type of accommodations we would be given. Needless to say, we were very pleased with our room....it was somewhat spacious and very clean. The furniture looked fairly new. Overall, we loved this place! It's the perfect getaway.....so peaceful and relaxing........just what we both needed! We thank Joe and his entire staff for making us feel so special! Can't wait to go back, hopefully in October. We highly recommend this hotel.
