Food Bloggers Get a Taste of Cellar 49
Local food bloggers from Westchester County, New York recently visited Cellar 49 in the Tarrytown House Estate on the Hudson for a tasting of the restaurants newest wines and small bites.
The four foodies enjoyed the exclusive wine tasting in the private wine vault dining room, which years ago used to house the bowling alley of the Biddle Mansion estate. Surrounded by the dimly lit room with candle votives atop shelves of the wine cased walls, the guests enjoyed a special selection of wines including Lieu Dit Sauvignon Blanc, Massican Gemina Chardonnay, Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine and Arnot Roberts “North Coast” Syrah, paired with Peppered Greens, Fig, Blue Cheese and Balsamic; Grilled Peach and Arugula Crostini; Pecan Crusted Squash Blossoms with Carrot Coulis; Endive and Apple with Walnuts and Raisins; and Candy Cane Beets with Grilled Onion.
The secluded room is adorned with dark wood and velvet curtains to give a romantic setting for any group of guests.
