North Carolina Gentlemen Restore Power to Tarrytown House Hotel, formerly Home of Mary Duke Biddle

A crew from Pike Electric of North Carolina worked tirelessly on the streets of Tarrytown & Irvington alongside Irvington Public Works to repair feeder lines, poles and transformers which suffered heavy damage from Sandy.  These men restored power to Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center and then enjoyed hot coffee and dinner in the former home of Mary Duke Biddle who was from Durham, North Carolina.

Pictured are a group of nine linemen from Mary Duke’s home state who restored electricity to Duke’s beloved home in Tarrytown, NY. The crew posed for a team photo under the watchful eyes of Mary Duke who was undoubtedly happy that Tarrytown House could once again provide warm beds and meals for the hundreds of electric repair men and displaced neighbors from Westchester County, NY.
