Tarrytown House Estate Welcomes New Director of Sales and Marketing, Anthony Amendola

Hospitality industry veteran joins Tarrytown House team

Tarrytown, NY (November 2010) -- The Tarrytown House Estate is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Amendola as the hotel’s new Director of Sales and Marketing.

Amendola has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years. He comes to the Tarrytown House Estate from Pyramid Hotel Advisers, working with the Hilton Stamford Hotel and Executive Meeting Center as the Director of Sales and Marketing.

“We welcome Anthony Amendola to the team at Tarrytown House,’’ said Steve Sackman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Destination Hotels and Resorts, which manages the Tarrytown House Estate. “We’re pleased to have someone of Anthony’s skill set joining the team. He adds a tremendous breadth of experience to our property.”

Amendola has held a variety of hospitality positions throughout the Northeast. Prior to working with the Hilton Stamford, he was the Senior Director of Global Business Travel for the Americas at the Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts. Amendola was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Paramount Hotel in New York as well as at the Millennium United Nations Plaza Hotel, and he spent eleven years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Connecticut and New Jersey. He started his hospitality career right in town at the Tarrytown Hilton.

Born in New York City and raised in Pelham, NY, Amendola graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts.  He is an avid sportsman and counts playing tennis and golf, cycling and kayaking on the Long Island Sound as hobbies. He lives in Wilton, CT with his wife and daughter.
