As the winter season quickly approaches and the weather becomes unpredictable, Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center, A Destination Hotel, is offering “Snowsurance” to winter meetings that are booked to take place between December 2014 and March 2015. With three inches of snow or more forecasted within three days of the event date, meeting planners can rebook their meeting within 30 days with no penalty.   “At Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center we consider our guests’ concerns and budgets when planning a winter meeting,” said Jamieson Asselta, Director of Sales & Marketing. “Snowsurance guarantees that groups will be able to reschedule if the weather report indicates snow in the forecast. We feel this offer greatly helps our clients who must risk planning meetings both locally and in warmer parts of the country where flights may be impacted and attendees are stuck in airports. Here, it’s as simple as rescheduling.”   In addition to Snowsurance, up to three added perks are awarded to the group based on the number of rooms booked. Pick one perk with 10 to 50 rooms booked; two perks with 51-100 rooms booked; and three perks with 101 rooms or more booked. These added benefits include:   Complimentary 30-minute reception with bar and chef selection of hors d’oeuvres One complimentary room per 30 attendees Waived private dining rentals Two drink tickets per person in Cellar 49 10% flexible attrition 30 days out Complimentary suite upgrade for VIP (based on availability) Five chef selection VIP amenities upon arrival 5% rebate to the master account    Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary as the nation’s first conference center. Over the past five decades, the Estate has played host to thousands of educational institutions, organizations, and businesses including IBM, AT&T and General Electric and has contributed towards the growth of the conference center industry.   The property was acquired by Robert Schwartz, a visionary and journalist who had served at one time as New York bureau chief for Time Magazine. Schwartz realized that corporate America needed a new type of lodging facility designed exclusively for business meetings and with that, he set about the task of creating the nation’s first executive conference center.  Schwartz passed away in 2013, but his mantra from 1964 remains as relevant today as it was 50 years ago, “We wish all who come here, leave with a better and fuller sense of themselves and of their organization.”   To speak with a sales manager regarding Snowsurance, please call (914) 591-3105 or email jasselta@destinationhotels.com.  For more information about Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center, visit www.tarrytownhouseestate.com.  Read More
