North Carolina Gentlemen Restore Power to Tarrytown House Hotel, formerly Home of Mary Duke Biddle

A crew from Pike Electric of North Carolina worked tirelessly on the streets of Tarrytown & Irvington alongside Irvington Public Works to repair feeder lines, poles and transformers which suffered heavy damage from Sandy.  These men restored power to Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center and then enjoyed hot coffee and dinner in the former home of Mary Duke Biddle who was from Durham, North Carolina. Tarrytown House Supports Breast Cancer Awareness!

October 20, 2013 was a warm, beautiful, sunny day.  Perfect for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walkathon.  The Tarrytown House Team showed up in full force at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, and the starting location for this event.  The 5 mile fundraising walk took the thousands of walkers and participants through the picturesque streets of Westchester and Manhattanville and Purchase College. One hundred year ago the American Cancer Society began this fight against cancer.  Tarrytown House has proudly take part in this event for the last five years.  This year we have raised over $3000 for the Making Strides event.  The Tarrytown House Team continues to support this great cause and we look forward to the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walkathon!    Read More
