In April 2008 the latest chapter in the long and storied history of the Biddle Mansion was written with the addition of Cellar 49-A Tavern at the Mansion.

The creation of Cellar 49 uncovered long hidden features of the mansion, which have been incorporated into the décor. Key-stoned brick archways, rugged granite columns, and distressed wood beams set the stage. The centerpiece of this restaurant is a private dining room set right within the wine cellar itself.

Located in the lower level of the Biddle Mansion, which was originally the home to Mary Duke Biddle's bowling alley, Cellar 49 is our take on a classic American Tavern, with contemporary touches to traditional favorites.

From prime aged steaks and burgers to an assortment of conversation-starting 'flights' and sharing platters of everything from appetizers to desserts - Cellar 49 is the perfect place for friends and colleagues to unwind over a great meal, paired with your favorite beverage. View Menu

As our name implies, wines will be a focal point of Cellar 49. Our wine cellar is filled with unique selections...some well known some hidden gems and rare finds not readily available at your local shop. We also feature a wide variety of bottled and tap beers including great small batch local brews from right here in the Hudson Valley.
