The latest chapter in the long and storied history of the Biddle Mansion was written recently with the addition of Cellar 49 - A Tavern at the Mansion.
The creation of Cellar 49 uncovered long hidden features of the mansion, which have been incorporated into the décor. Key-stoned brick archways, rugged granite columns, and distressed wood beams set the stage. The centerpiece of this restaurant is a private dining room set right within the wine cellar itself.
The setting of stone columns and brick walls along with a rich mahogany bar and crackling fireplace create the warm setting of our lower Hudson Valley restaurant.
Cellar 49's menu highlights our modern twist on classic tavern fare, taking the best of the bounty that the Hudson Valley has to offer. Then pair your meal with one of our craft beers or unique small production wines that you won't find in your local wine shop and you've got the makings of a memorable lunch or dinner.
As our name implies, wines are a focal point of Cellar 49. Our wine cellar is filled with unique selections...some well known some hidden gems and rare finds not readily available at your local shop. We also feature a wide variety of bottled and tap beers from around the world to around the Hudson Valley.
