Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center Exterior

Located just 25 miles from Manhattan, this Hudson Valley landmark hotel creates the perfect backdrop for your next group, meeting or special event.

Estate History

In the heart of “Sleepy Hollow Country,” the Tarrytown House Estate has long been a cornerstone of the historic Hudson Valley region of New York. First as Country Estate homes for the wealthy families of tobacco and railroad industries, from the mid 1800’s through after the turn of the century the Estate is where the wealthy played host to countless galas and events.

Later in 1964, our founder Bob Schwartz, the New York Bureau Chief with Life Magazine, revolutionized the executive training and meetings industry with the creation of Tarrytown House the Nation’s First commercial Conference Center.

Today, the Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center is where corporate, association and government leaders come to learn and share, families celebrate the most special of events and guests from around the world come for getaways with a variety of leisure packages and tour the historic sites of the Hudson Valley and enjoy the charming river towns surrounding the hotel.
