A During the week the Estate attracts high level business and government leaders from around the world for strategic conferences, think-tank sessions and retreats. On weekends we tend to host destination wedding and adult escape weekends.
A Although guests of all ages are welcome, recreation, sports, the restaurant and menu concepts and overall ambiance is geared towards adults. During the summer our outdoor pool and Cabana Bar and Deck are reserved for adults only. Families tend to find October the best month for getaways due as we are located in the birthplace of Halloween with local attractions and of course the Legend of Sleepy Hollow which was written just down the street from Tarrytown House.
All room rates are good for 1 or 2 people in the room. Guestrooms recently been restored and include typical business hotel amenities, pillow top bedding, custom mahogany furniture, Keurig In-Room Coffees, Custom bath amenities and free wifi. All registered guests 21 and over also have complimentary access to the Outdoor pool, tennis, recreation and fitness facilities. The estate's year round indoor pool and Jacuzzi are available for registered guests of all ages, however parents must supervise their children as no life-guard is on duty.
A As you enter the sprawling 26 acre estate, follow all signs for Check In and Lobby to register and get your room keys. Lot 3 is closest to the Lobby and easiest for overnight guests. Lot 1 is closer to the Ballroom and Biddle Mansion and is closer for weddings and restaurant. For those requiring ADA parking, there are reserved spots directly in front of the Lobby and Biddle Mansion, requiring proper legal tags.
A Check-in at the Estate is quick and efficient! Our Front Desk Agents have been trained to make your arrival experience a seamless and enjoyable one. You must be 18 years of age or older, present a valid picture ID and a credit/debit card. A credit/debit card is required for all check-ins however cash payments can be made at check-out. An $80.00 authorization will be placed on your credit/debit card to secure any incidental charges you may incur during your stay. Incidental charges are typically restaurant, bar, room service and gift shop charges, they could also be from a massage or any other of the many amenities we have to offer. This hold is temporary and typically released 3 to 5 business days after you have departed (depending on your bank) however this hold is much longer if a debit card is used. We strongly suggest the use of a credit card at check-in. Again cash or a different credit or debit card can be used at check-out to settle your bill.
