Tarrytown House Estate Puts A Freeze on Spending with “Winter Warm-Up Weekend Getaway”

If the Temperature Hits the Freezing Point of 32 Degrees, Guests Cash In

Tarrytown, NY (January 2012) – This winter, if the temperature dips to 32 degrees or below, guests at the Tarrytown House Estate will cash in with its “Winter Warm-Up Weekend Getaway.”

Here’s how it works. If on the day that you check in for a two-night weekend stay,  the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below in Tarrytown, as recorded by the National Weather Service, you will get a 32 percent reduction in the cost of your room rate. It’s that simple.

What kind of a winter will it be? Was the record-breaking snowfall that occurred on October 29 in the New York metro region a preview of a very cold and snowy winter ahead? According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, there will be equal chances for above, near and below normal temperatures and precipitation this winter in the Northeast because of La Nina and the Arctic Oscillation. In other words, Mother Nature’s actions are hard to predict.

But here’s one prediction you can count on: regardless of the weather conditions, Tarrytown House Estate is the perfect setting for a relaxing, cozy and warm getaway this winter. Located 25 miles from Manhattan, the charming and historic Estate offers rooms that have been carefully designed for comfort and convenience, ensuring that every guest will be completely satisfied with their stay. Overlooking the Hudson River, the Estate offers indoor leisure and recreational facilities including a fitness club and swimming pool. Dinner and drinks can be enjoyed at Cellar 49, a classic American tavern with a contemporary twist.

Guests can visit the quaint, nearby villages of Tarrytown and Irvington which offer a multitude of shops and galleries. Numerous cultural and entertainment venues are nearby and attract local and national talent.

Anthony Amendola, Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “Those in the New York Metro area who are looking for a relaxing, convenient escape this winter need look no further than The Tarrytown House Estate. Who knows, you just might walk away with extra cash too.”

The 32% savings is based on a two-night stay and applies only to the room rate. It is non-refundable and is available Friday-Sunday only from January through March 15.
