-- and a Traditional Backyard Barbecue Too

Tarrytown, NY (June 2011) – Looking for a great, last-minute July 4 weekend getaway deal? Look no further than the Tarrytown House Estate, which has four fun-filled, close-to-home packages to celebrate Independence Day, plus a backyard barbeque as an add-on.

The Estate is the perfect setting to relax and celebrate the Fourth of July. Set on 26 acres overlooking the Hudson River, it offers extensive leisure and recreational facilities including a fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. The indoor facilities overlook the extensive ground while the outdoors offer a refreshing backdrop to the swimming pools and tennis courts.

Celebrate the Fourth with one of these enticing packages:

Book the Pirates of the Hudson Package and get a deluxe room for two for one night, a full American breakfast for two and two VIP tickets for Pirates of the Hudson at Philipsburg Manor. Gangs of black beards and beauties will be swashbuckling their way through Philipsburg Manor at this brand new event for all ages. Musical pirates, belly dancers, scallywags and more will be roaming the Philipsburg Manor grounds July 2-4. The package costs $289.

Summer Escape 6-Pack.  If you book the Summer Escape 6-Pack starting July 4 Weekend and continuing through Labor Day weekend, you’ll enjoy six weekends of deluxe accommodations as well as several other benefits during your stay. The package includes:

  • 12 nights in a deluxe guest room, designed for comfort and convenience in a traditional style with modern amenities such as complimentary high-speed internet, a 32-inch LCD interactive television with on-demand movies, and more
  • Two complimentary breakfast coupons to be used any morning during the stay
  • Discount coupons for food and beverage at Cellar 49, the Estate’s classic American tavern. The discounts—20% off lunch and 10% off dinner—can be used each night of the stay.
  • Invitation to Friday and Saturday Happy Hour in Cellar 49, also good for every night of the stay
  • Late check out is also possible, based on availability

The 6-Pack is an advance, non-refundable package of $278 plus applicable taxes for each weekend. For $89 additional per night, guests can extend their weekend to include Sunday evening as well.

Historic Hudson Valley Value Ticket. Weekend guests who book a room in the property’s King Mansion will receive an exclusive Historic Hudson Valley Value Ticket, entitling them to admissions to four nearby national historic landmarks.

Normally, the combined admission costs for one adult to the four historic sites is $52. The exclusive Hudson Valley Value Ticket costs just $32, a savings of 39% per person.
